| Tranquil Fazenda Caravela is nestled in the gentle, lush hills above Alcantarilha, 12km from the ancient Algarve capital of Silves and close to the foothills of the Monchique mountains. The hills are characterised by elegant tall cypress trees, orange and lemon trees, an abundance of sweet-smelling flowers and a gentle breeze – even in the summer. All our villas are built in spacious grounds with wonderful panoramic views. It is hard to imagine a lovelier space to relax in peace and style. The bustling beaches of the Algarve are only 20 minutes drive away and in less than an hour you can reach the dramatic beaches of Portugal’s west coast. |
| Fazenda Caravela is a small community of villas and at the entrance is a shop selling groceries, fresh meat and vegetables. There are many more shops and restaurants in nearby Algoz and Poço Barreto, both within a ten-minute drive. Car hire is essential if you stay at Fazenda Caravela, enabling you to explore the spectacular Algarve beaches, the dramatic Portuguese west coast, the blue hills of the Monchique and the historic towns and cities of the Algarve.
